When you enter into psychotherapy with me, you are offered an opportunity to develop an understanding of your emotional and internal life so that you can engage in the world in a more enriched way.

About

I am trained as a psychodynamic therapist and have, over time, developed a relational and interactive approach. Although initially an art psychotherapist, my ten years of experience has largely been with people who prefer to talk. Some of my clients either engage in art in their own time or make art with me while online. Most do not make art at all. I am flexible and engage in any way you choose and I like to meet the patient’s needs and respond accordingly.

We would first engage in a consultation to establish a connection. In session, we would then enter into a dialogue, explore feelings, and work towards an increased self-awareness. We would also work towards implementing changes in behavior and better relationships with other people.

Why Me?

I work with clients of all ages, children, teens, adults, and seniors. I have extensive experience across the spectrum of diagnosis and also with individuals without a diagnosis but who are troubled and struggling with everyday issues. The kind of work I do takes time. Even though short-term sessions are available, integrating change requires a long-term commitment. It’s better to invest a consistent and extended time in therapy. I focus on listening and working with you to understand the unconscious material that may come up. Sometimes it is necessary to talk about what goes on between us as the interaction can be an example of how you are in the world. My approach encompasses empathy to allow for a shift in perspective and a deepening understanding in a safe space.

By sharing your personal story we work together to understand one’s self in relation to others and increase your capacity to understand other points of view.
